How it is scored
- 10 points: published in full
- A percentage or range for every service tier offered.
- 5 points: partly published
- A number for only some tiers, only 'from X%' or 'up to X%', or a number shown only inside a calculator or example.
- 0 points: not found on public pages
- No number, or 'custom' / 'discussed on the call'.
Why it matters to a creator
Commission is the biggest cost of working with an agency, and you usually pay it every month for as long as you work together. When the rate is on the page, you can compare agencies before you spend time on calls, and you start every conversation already knowing the number.
How to check it yourself
- Open the agency's homepage and look for a Pricing, Services or FAQ link in the menu and the footer.
- Search each of those pages for the % sign (Cmd+F or Ctrl+F on a computer, "Find on page" on a phone).
- Check that there is a number for every service the agency sells, not only "from X%" or "up to X%".
- If the only number sits inside a calculator or a worked example, count it as partly published and ask for the actual rate.
Question to ask an agency
What commission percentage do you charge for each service you offer, and does the rate change at different earnings levels?
